The StepCrew is beyond delighted to celebrate their 10th Anniversary tour! Led by Cara Butler and The Pilatzke Brothers, Jon and Nathan, The StepCrew is the only show to feature Irish, Tap and Ottawa Valley Stepdancing. Cara is The Chieftains’ principal Irish dancer for the last two decades, while Jon and Nathan are undoubtedly Canada’s leading and most exciting Ottawa Valley Stepdancers. The StepCrew is a pure celebration of dance showcasing each traditional form while creating what Jean Butler of Riverdance fame describes as “a unique and seamless blend of all three”. One of The StepCrew’s “secret weapons” is its musical ensemble – from Canadian champion fiddle players to some of the most sought-after musicians in the Celtic, folk and rock genres. The virtuosic cast of 11 Dancers & Musicians, comprised of the leading performers in today’s Celtic music scene have appeared on the international stages of the leading PACs and Celtic Festivals worldwide.
“The StepCrew is a brilliant visual and musical display of the most talented dancers I’ve seen. It’s refreshing to see a performance of this style based on pure ability as the dancers are certainly nothing less than virtuosic in their respective styles.”
– Paddy Moloney, The Chieftains
“The StepCrew is a show that very simply, cannot be missed. The focus, energy, and sheer virtuosity on display from the entire cast is nothing short of mind-boggling. I have yet to encounter a dance show of such unique proportions, seamlessly blending the best of three different percussive styles into what can only be called a tour de force. The StepCrew is truly one of the most exciting things I have seen in a long time.”
– Jean Butler of Riverdance, Dancing On Dangerous Ground
