Carl Dixon remains one of Canada’s stellar singers and musicians. His powerful vocals, artistry and stage presence have put him at the forefront of the Canadian rock industry for three decades.
Carl scored his first record deal with rockers Coney Hatch in 1982 and toured extensively with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and more. He played, opened and recorded with April Wine for four years. Carl went on to become lead singer of Canada’s world chart toppers The Guess Who for eight years until he was critically injured in a car accident in 2008. After years in recuperation Carl’s story came full circle when he fulfilled his goal and returned to The Guess Who as guest lead singer for two sell out US shows in 2016. Carl continues to tour and record extensively as a solo artist, band member and inspirational speaker. Carl’s first book “Strange Way to Live” was published by Dundurn Press in 2015.
